"I don't really care..." Ryou answered boredly. "It's probably only a matter of time before somebody does anyway...It's not like I've anything to offer a pack of thieves."

"Oh I'm sure we could find somethin' for you ta do," she replied in an on-the-contrary tone.

Ryou scoffed quietly and closed his eyes, leaning back. "I don't even care any more..."

"Hm," was Anna's only reply before she left the room. Once outside, even the little sun from the sunrise hurt her eyes and it took about a minute for them to adjust. Kiba walked up behind her. "You were down there fer a while. I take it y' were tormentin' th' captive?" With a chuckle, Anna replied, "'E 'as a short temper, that one."

Ryou just sat in the black solitude. Of course he had given a strong front, but he really was very worried about what his fate might be. He'd heard stories of the things pirates would do. Walking planks, hanging, being marooned, run through, or shot, maybe even tortured! he shook his head, trying to rid himself of the thoughts.

"So, why did ya have us bring 'im along?" Anna asked her brother. "I'm tryin' ta decide whether ta get rid a him or ta have 'im join us," was the reply.
A couple of weeks passed and Kiba still hadn't really made up his mind. Ryou had been untied, but was always under close survailance. Anna was rarely ever around him. Since she was the boatswain, she was usually busy. "Land aho!" called the lookout, pointing foreward. In front of them, was an island with a very rocky shore and many trees beyond that.

Ryou hadn't eaten much during his stay so far. He'd been trying to avoid contact with the others as much as possible. He absolutely despized being there. He was beginning to think he'd rather just be done in and have all of this over with.

Since they were almost to the island, Kiba made his decision. Anna went to where Ryou had been. "'ey there!" she said.

Ryou jumped a bit at first, then turned to look at the girl. "Hn...?" he asked almost boredly.

"We're at th' island, so y' have two choices. Y' can help us find th' treasure as a part a the crew, or be killed. Which 'll it be?" Anna replied, smirking.

Ryou didn't really answer, he just sort of looked at Anna with a cold glare.

"Well, whas it gonna be? I could kill ya now," Anna said, putting her hand on the hilt of her dagger.

Ryou sighed and turned his back to her. "Honestly, I would rather be dead than counted as one of you lot..." he said.

"Well too bad, 'cuz I says you're goin'" Anna replied, walking over to him and grabbing his upper arm with a surprisingly firm grip.

Ryou growled and atempted to tear his arm away from her. "Let go of me! I've no reason to help any of you!"
