Ryou waited until the ship was beginning to set sail to fire several flaming arrows at it. Two sunk into the back, and a third into the mast. After that, he took cover behind a rocky outcropping. He could only hope the flames would do something.

As soon as the arrows had hit the ship, Kiba gave orders, telling some of the crew to start putting out the flames and some, about five including Anna and Honda, to go ashore and capture their attacker. As soon as orders were given, everyone went to work. Those who were ordered to go ashore, went down a rope ladder on the side of the ship and into the waist-high water, weapons in hand.

"Oi! Wot's that right there? Behind the rocks?" Honda inquired, pointing a cutlass at where Ryou had been hiding.
Ryou cursed silently as he heard Honda's remark. He knew now it would only be a matter of time before they reached him, but he was more than prepared to fight!

"Hey! 'E looks familiar," Anna said once they were close enough to see Ryou in the little light available.

Ryou didn't bother with the bow, he was out of arrows anyway. He instead reached for a slightly curved sword and backed away, giving himself more room to fight.

Anna and the others drew there swords. "Give it up. You're out-numbered," Anna said right before attacking Ryou with her sword.

Ryou dodged and parried Anna's attack, only to take a bit of a gash to the right side from Honda's blade. "Rrrghh!" he grunted.

Anna attempted to hit Ryou in the head with the hilt of her sword, since they'd been ordered to take him captive, not kill him. The other three pirates also attempted to knock him out.

Ryou grunted softly as the hild made contact with his skull. Within moments his world went dark. He only barely felt himself hit the ground.

The bigger man that had come with them hoisted Ryou over his shoulder. "Let's go," Anna said, turning back toward the ship. By now, those who stayed on the ship to put the fire out had been able to almost completely succeeded. They'd gotten to the fire before it had done any devastating damage.

Ryou woke hours later. His eyes opened slowly, only to be greeted with complete, and total blackness. He was quite a bit startled to find his arms bound tightly behind his back, and to feel the rocking of the ship on the waves. Of course he hadn't any idea where he was now, for he couldn't remember a thing. All he knew was that his head and side ached, he was bound, and, for all he knew, blind.

"Oi! Look o'er there!" said the lookout, pointing at something floating in the water a few yards away. Several people, including Anna and Kiba hurried over to the side of the boat to see what the object was. It was a small row-boat, but the couldn't tell whether or not someone was inside. "Turn North!" Kiba called to the sailing master. The man did as he was told in in about a minute, they were right next to the small boat. There was someone in the boat, but he was dead. He had the appearance of a man who'd been through many battles, most of which were probably fought only for himself. When someone went to see what he had with him, a map was discovered. It had obviously been made by one who wasn't a professional, but was still readable.

(Oh, you're freakin' kidiing me?! Treasure map?!)
Ryou groaned almost pitifully as the ship changed course. He'd never been aboard a ship before, and the feeling was alien, and none too welcome. While he was now truely believing that he was now blind, that wasn't the case. He'd merely been locked up somewhere below deck. With a defeated sigh, he tried to find a position where the ship's rocking would affect him the least.

(Perhaps you had a better plot in mind?) "Why don't you go check on our captive?" Kiba suggested to Anna. Without a word, Anna went below deck to where they'd left Ryou.

(Well, not exactly, but that's probably the most cliche thing ever...)
Ryou sat up strate as he heard what sounded like someone walking toward him. "...Hello....?" he asked quietly.
